How to find undiscovered artists/painters?
I need to find several undiscovered artists that are looking to get some online exposure in the art industry and make some great passive income selling giclee reproductions of their work. My business sells predominantly to the affluent female baby-boomer demographic and all of our art is very feminine, elegant, fun and uplifting. That is our niche, so to speak. We’re always looking for more artists and would like some ideas how to find those artists. Usually they’re mothers and grandmothers that don’t spend much (or any) time on the “Gigs” sector of Craigslist and we don’t want anyone that is already on ArtistRising.com or anything already established. We’ve tried word of mouth but have gotten mixed results—especially since it’s rather awkward declining the work of a mutual acquaintance, regardless of how polite the “thanks, but no thanks” explanation is.
